Linda is not only a piano teacher with over 40 years of teaching experience and an extensive background in dance, she is also the forward thinking, imaginative business woman behind both Renaissance Kids and the Arts Connection.Linda developed the concept of a one-stop performing arts centre, The Arts Connection and Renaissance Kids Early Learning Centers. In addition she recently obtained the publication rights to the Canadian Piano Method Program called “Kelly Kirby” She was selected by the former owner of the program to continue the 65-year-old legacy of this beginner’s piano program. The Arts Connection in Steveston offers instruction in music, dance, visual arts, drama and more.
The location is currently undergoing another expansion to accommodate the growth of both the Renaissance Kids and the Arts Connection, and when finished is sure to be the largest, most sophisticated, teaching facility in Richmond.

In addition to her development and contribution to the Immersed in the Arts-Reach to Teach program she is touching many more lives by her extensive involvement in the community. She is recognized as a leader in the community in areas of arts education and childcare. Most recently winning the coveted Richmond Arts Award for Innovation.An award that she can share with her other awards: Three time winner of the Ethel Tibbits “Woman of the year” in business category, award of excellence from the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneur of the year from the City of Richmond for contributions towards quality childcare and arts programming for children.
She has volunteered to serve in numerous capacities: As chair of Centre Stage Youth Performance Soc., on the City of Richmond’s parks, recreation and Cultural task force and the Richmond Arts Strategy Task force. She serves as an executive committee member for the Nite of Hope Breast Cancer annual fundraiser and a member of the family advisory committee for Richmond Mental health and addictions and Vancouver Coastal health.
