Margaret Stephens

Discipline: Artisan Photography Media Arts

A published non fiction writer and photographer, Margaret has always tried various forms of art, from old fashioned crafts, to painting, jewellery making and so forth she has also created her own line of humorous cards.

With the major assistance of Mike Clarke (the CACR webmaster), her own website is www.coloursofmnminddesigns.ca where anyone can view and purchase over 60 of her cards, as well as view some of her other works. Her cards are also being sold where she now lives in Sardis, in the Fraser Valley, at Flora Bunda at Garrison Crossing, a delightful floral shop filled with lots of home decor, jewellery and gifts as well as beautiful flowers.
While the greeting cards are her main focus, along with her jewellery, she also spends time painting  silk scarves and glassware. Having recently discovered Alcohol Inks she is becoming excited to use this relatively new medium on prepared canvas and having fun with the vibrant colours and choices of substrate. She has been experimenting with Alcohol ink and fairly new medium and she created a piece titled summer in the City and it was accepted into the 2017 Midsummer Arts Dream and won 2nd place for mixed media!

Margaret has been chosen as the winner in the volunteerism category at the Richmond Arts Awards for 2016. The event was held at Richmond City Hall and sponsored by the City of Richmond, the Richmond Arts Coalition and the Richmond News.  She was thrilled.

MY NEW WEBSITE
Now YOU can see and purchase my distinctive cards. You know the ones with humour and slightly tongue in cheek.  There are over 70 different cards displayed and available on this website and you can also request a personalization for someone special, just give me enough notice.
The shipping/mailing rates are very reasonable and there are cards for just about any occasion, and if not then ask and it can most likely be created.
I don't do "hallmark" type cards I find them boring, however, if you a traditional card, just ask through that website and I will do my best to accommodate you.  There are also examples of the bracelets and chokers that I create using lamp work (handmade), semi precious etc. stones. I will also do special orders for colour etc. again, just let me know.
So take a chance and visit my website at   http://www.coloursofmyminddesigns.ca
Thank you
